Edwin and I went to Houston this weekend to see his family and to enjoy the sweet sounds of country music (aka a concert of my 2 favorite country bands: Sugarland and Little Big Town). Thank you to IDEA Public Schools for giving us the day off!!!!!! (It was a scheduled bad weather day... The Valley's equivalent of a built in make-up snow day) More on our weekend in Houston later, but here are a few pics from the concert.

The guy from Sugarland (in the hat) gave his guitar away to a girl right in front of us. We think he could see her dancing non-stop the entire concert all the way from the stage. Apparently he missed Edwin and my sweet moves, although I'm not sure how that's possible. Maybe next time. But what's even better than getting an autographed guitar? Having my dream of being on a Jumbo-Tron fulfilled because we were behind the girl. Check.

ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great time. Perhaps it was the girls bright purple shirt. Next time you go maybe florescent yellow or blaze orange might help get you noticed. Or maybe Edwin could wear his Today Show shirt. That would do it. Having said that,I'll bet Meridith Viera saw you on the Jumbotron! Love, Dad.
